Post/After Care

- Immediately after your treatment, the area may be slightly swollen and tender. Colour will appear much darker than the colour it will heal.

- The eyebrows and surrounding area should be kept dry for 7-10 days.

- No cleansers, makeup, swimming, spas, direct water or heavy sweating on the tattooed area until peeling has finished. This takes approx 4-7 days.

- When washing the area, dab gently with warm water on a cotton round. Do not drown your brows in water or cleansers

- Gently wash every morning and/or night to remove any build up and bacteria

- From day 2, start applying a thin layer of the supplied barrier cream twice daily (morning and night). If the area feels particularly dry and itchy you can apply a third time. It is absolutely necessary to keep applying the cream to keep the area hydrated.

- For lip tattoo, apply the supplied aftercare cream every 30 mins. It is important to keep them hydrated! lips will peel more and faster than brows. peeling is usually gone within the first few days

- Lip tattoo will initially be up to 60% darker. It will take up to one week for this to settle. In most people, true colour can take 2 months.

- 2 weeks after your lip tattoo the colour may appear very light. The true colour will show through 4 to 8 weeks.
- A full touch up may be required within 6 to 8 weeks. It is normal for the tattoo to shrink or fade, so much that on some area that it seems to have disappeared. Do not be alarmed, it takes time for the skin to accept colour. Any required pigment will be added on the second treatment.
- If you have laser treatments near the lip area, please tell the operator that you have a lip cosmetic tattoo

-DO NOT PICK. Exfoliation is part of the healing process. Some people, depending on metabolism, will experience more exfoliation than others. It is normal and part of the healing process.

- It will be 3-4 weeks for brows and 4-8 weeks before the true colour appears. After the area has peeled and fully healed the colour will be lighter and more natural.

- Do not worry if you lose colour, as you can lose anywhere from 20%-60% the first time. It may be too light or patchy in some areas, you can apply makeup to fill your brows until your touch up appointment.

- A touch up appointment is necessary to complete the procedure and to get them 100% perfect

-Sunscreen is advised after fully healed to protect colour from fading.

A new tattoo is to be treated as an open wound; it is possible to cause an infection if aftercare is not properly followed.
